On My Own

On My Own

A Poem by Rebecca

You led me through this life of mine,

But now no longer may you guide,

Now, I'm on my own.

You held my hand all the way,

Stood in front of me through the pain,

Now, I'm on my own.

You were always by my side,

You were there to dry my eyes,

Now, I'm on my own.

I loved a man I never could,

Moved on in life, like I should,

I did it on my own.

I burned the devil's place for me,

Was as strong as I could be,

I did it on my own.

I achieved the impossible,

And whether or not it's plausable,

I do it on my own.

Oh I thought this was very well done!

The structure of the poem was fantastic, and I liked how you only rhymed a few words. Also, your point was clearly written and easy to understand.

Wonderful job. :]

Always,
