Perfection.

Perfection.

A Poem by Rebecca

Someday we'll talk about it,

Someday I'll tell you the truth,

Blank smiles and awkward laughing,

Sometimes I wonder why you don't move.

Insisting to stay, wishing to help,

Yet I don't say a word.

Nightmares waking me at night, I let out a yelp,

And you fly in like a bird.

You wrap your arms around me,

And ask if I'm ok..

I lie and say I'm fine,

I'm fine.

To the point of you believing me.

I can't understand how you can trust me,

When I tell you that I'm fine,

I'm fine.

You are yourself, all you can be.

How can you be so kind?

How can you not yell at me?

And tell me not to lie?

How can you still love me?

How can you be mine?

I love you more then words describe.

I love your soul and heart,

With your life, I'll always abide,

I just want to be a part.

I want to prove to you my love,

And that I truly care. But

I'm not an angel from heaven above,

And that's the love you should bare.

You deserve so much better,

The moon at your feet, my dear.

Maybe I should write you, in a letter..

But you would not listen to my defeat.

You'd tell me I'm perfect, the love of your life,

Just right for you, we're perfect.

This is why I love you so much,

So accepting.. So caring..

I love you more than words can tell.
