Watch

Watch

A Poem by Rebecca

I've watched how you've been,

How you are, and who you were.

Not the man I once knew,

A mindless nymph with no sense of direction.

I wonder, sometimes,

The exact moment you stopped caring,

The moment I stopped giving a damn.

I can’t even call you a friend.

I had my chance to leave before,

But in blind hope chose not to.

Jokes on me for thinking

We could be the same.

Now I wait, knowing very well

That I won’t hear from you for months.

That sense of urgency is gone

And there are too many excuses.

Just watch where you walk, dear.

Because before you realize it,

I won’t even be here.

A good well written piece of poetry =D

A story told so many many times before . . .
A hard reality for some . . .
A harsh truth for others . . .

You've expressed it wonderfully here indeed !!!
