What's the Story?

What's the Story?

A Poem by Rebecca

There is a back-story to all of this
There is a prologue left unwritten
There is an epilogue leaving more to be said
Then there is the rose colored pain
Then there is the spiky thorns
Then there is a phoenix healing with his tears
I watch a baby dragon fly
I watch for the back-story

There are two sides to the coin, you see?
We were made different so we can make a difference
But some kill, and some heal
I freak out in silence
I sway back and forth
And I scream, and I scream, and I scream

Find the story behind my silence
Find the reasons for all my questions

The grass is green everwhere

really.

You can stop searching.

The best isn't next door, it isn't halfway across the globe, its not in outer-space
You can hold green in your heart

That's where the story starts and begins

I promise.

The neighbors have a green field
And so do you
And you can flip on either one
You can run as fast as you can and you can make the wilderness your home

I promise. There is a back-story. There is a reason I am writing this.

It's because I am Called to.
I am called to write with God's Pen
And I want to tell you His Story
The story that is the foundation of every other story.

He died and rose from the dead
He was born after living for zillions of eternities
He is God of Christmas and Easter
He promises forever
Eternity
He promises that death is just a myth.
So open your eyes and ears. Really listen.
Hear the sound of the rain?
Those are His tears, those are His songs, and the thunder is His Love

And I write. I write and its like photography: the difference is the angle in which you look at the story

And I promise
It goes on and on
I'll stop being so afraid of that
Afraid of the endlessness
The fear will vanish
It is worse than the fear of death
It is the fear of finding oneself lost, not sure which way to turn, which story to write,
How to get home

I promise:

Home is where the grass is green and tall filled with budding flowers.
Home is where you can do the things that bring you joy, where you are happy.

So delve in.
What is the story?
