And she wouldn't take it off for quite a while - she said she wanted them to know what they'd done to Jack. What a horrible day that was! My parents loved President Kennedy very much. Dad took my sister and myself to watch his Inaugural Parade. It was a cold January day, but it was a very exciting one for all of us. I was only about 12 at the time. Your poem brings back many memories - Rebecca. I remember watching Ruby kill Oswald on our black & white TV. Thanks for your memorable poem, it means a lot to me.

You were witnessing history, yet didn't know it at the time. Even if one didn't agree with his policies, he brought a sense of optimism to the country. (I'm only 27, so I only know what I've read & heard about that era.) Thanks again & I'll read some of your work very soon:)
Cool thoughts for a summer day , He gave us the Green Beret.

Thank you for reading:)
I see it re happening in front of my eyes, looking at the left corner up high... to catch a thing... but alas... it was a tragical day at your country. Heartfelt senryu here. I was there through your words again for a moment.
This puts it all into perspective well. I read a chapter of Jackie Kennedy's book that described that day. It was so horrific. Good haiku from you Rebecca.
