Out this red wounded

Chest

Do not take me with you

Just leave me to

Rest

It doesn't matter friend

You have been the

But leave me behind 

I am already

Dead

if one reads a lot of poetry, and as well writes, ones gains a knowledge of patterns a poet goes through as he/she progresses over time. As far as I can see you are coming along very well. You just keep writing and learning, your doing really good. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Beccy - I think your poems are lovely and your writing is so mature. Leave Me Behind is my favourite so far, but I also like the line in War where you ask "why are we running?" while knowing the end is near. Keep writing, they're wonderful poems. Claire x
