The Shining

The Shining

A Poem by reb

How many times must I say goodnight

Before my tears drift me to sleep

And how many times must I say goodbye

Before my thoughts about you leave

The stars aligned on the eastern sky

Do you see them now?

Sparkling like your eyes in the sunrise

Darling, turn around

Do you see them

I know you see them

Do you see the stars?

They shine to you

Like they shine to me

And now we're never really apart

Burning

I know they're burning

Just like my longing for you glows

They give us all they got

So I'll give you all I got

Until the shining comes and goes

Until the shining comes and goes

We're never really apart

Just letting you know

The stars aligned on the eastern sky

I'm standing out here now

And I can't see you

Like I see the stars

But I know you're still around

I can close my eyes for an eternity

And the light will never go

The stars aligned on the eastern sky

Just letting you know
