To Live They Must Perish

To Live They Must Perish

A Poem by Azalea Rose
"

Dedicated to our brave soldiers , and the innocents who are killed by them. For the innocent soldiers who are killed by other innocent soldiers. Peace Will Prevail.

"
To those who fall upon black ashes of red white and blue striped flags.
Black ashes.
Fabric on fire.
Soldiers fell too sober.
Their black words make up their anthem.

Entirely ashamed we spit out their names.
Innocent lives spared, tons sheared.
Who are they?

These heroes come to life in their formations.
Each shot,
Representing our stars.

Their blood, it runs into stripes.
This flag falls Into mud.
Our Children turn to snipe.
Kids smile and pull the trigger
And look up to them as a figure.

They're dying,
One
By
One
They fall
But stand for us.
A flag for fighting.
A soul lost on command.
