History Of Violence

History Of Violence

A Poem by Matthew
"

Plans don't always go as planned.

"
So sad, you've never looked so mad
Tell me, how do we know it's coming
Can't say I've never thought like that
Shouldn't say if it gets me breathing
But it's easy for me, I got the idea while leaving
If you know how many more they're keeping
Because I've got a real bad feeling
Don't suppose they're just sleeping
Don't make a sound, and no peeking

Laughter is fleeing
After would be better than before
Laughter is bleeding
Now would be better than never
Laughter is beating
Here would be better than there

So glad, you’ve never looked so sad
Tell me, how did you know it’s coming?
Can’t say I’ve never been there
Shouldn’t really say if it gets me feeling
But it’s easy for me, I got the thought while fleeing
Please tell me you’re not just lying
Because you look like you’re crying
Don’t suppose they’ll be dying
Don’t move an inch, and no flying
