You Lied

You Lied

A Poem by Matthew

Forward motion travels not through a skin deep promotion
Neither tried nor true, I will never compose another devastating convolution
Rather the thought or the concern is legitimate or not, life will always go through

The dots they move fast and true
You can’t help me see through the light, after all it’s all just a void dream
Today you ran away, leaving me to this simple conclusion, all in all I guess you just

Lied!
You lied!
Today I guess you just
Lied!
You lied!
Tonight I felt at home, but in the end I’m left with
Lies!
You lied!

Hone in, and hone out, the motion will cease to expire
Left alone with my thoughts tonight
I contemplate the end of all truth
I helped you try, but you didn’t do the same

I fell through the tide today
Got washed up on a beach filled with grass and memories
The sand doesn’t remind me of the stars anymore
It’s shine is simply replaced with a common belief

You didn’t feel the same did you?
You told me what I wanted to hear, and I blindly followed
You informed me of a little star to the south, with it’s power you controlled us all
You forced us down into a hole, never to be free, it was there that I realized you

Lied!
You lied!
You lost all the power, only thing left to do was
Lie!
You lied!
Today I broke free, but with the water you drowned me in
Lies!
You lied!
In the end you just couldn’t help it so you just
Lied!
You lied!
Call me what you will, never again shall I believe your
Lies!
You lied!

Oh what a crime, too bad it never came true
Oh God, how pathetic, you just never learn
Try as you will, you will die with no one
Wow, what a story, too bad it’s all just a lie
