I Can SeeA Poem by MatthewCan you see?
I can see the lines as the grow
I can feel the lies as they show I watch the people from afar Listen helplessly, feeling ajar Maybe I don’t know What it’s like to be dying Maybe I don’t know What it’s like to be starving This world won’t know for too long We live in a world that’s long been gone I hear the people as they moan I hear the peoples stomachs groan I listen with my eyes Because I can’t trust my ears with the lies Maybe I don’t know What it’s like to be dying Maybe I don’t know What it’s like to be starving This world won’t know for too long We live in a world that’s long been gone The glass is falling The class is failing Our life is jaded Because our minds are faded Maybe I don’t know WHat it’s like to be dying Maybe I don’t know What it’s like to be starving This world won’t know for too long We live in a world that’s long been gone © 2013 Matthew |
