Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Matthew
"

As stereotypical as I feel the name is, it's the best title to describe the poem.

"
Dark is the night that she walks in
Sheltered by the falling sky
The scars contained, within her frame, are crying out in pain

Will she still be saved?
The pain it melts, within the stream, completely torn out
When she wakes, again he will rake, completely took out

Say goodbye to the sky
It’s been taken out
At least she had a good time
For what it’s worth, it’s been put forth
She’s seen the answers, it’s been her cancer
Goodbye my lovely blue sky

She asks him why this time
For the final cry, he kisses her goodbye
Today she still feels torn

Washing out, the deep red strings
She then begins to sing
What a lovely piece, tonight she will have that

Say goodbye to the sky
It’s been taken out
At least she had a great time
For what it’s worth, it’s been put forth
She’s seen the answers, it’s been her cancer
Goodbye my lovely blue sky

He stares hatefully this time
He simply states that she wants to fight
Why we will not know

Is it all a lie?
She can’t help but cry
Why does she want to die?

Say goodbye to the sky
It’s been taken out
At least she had a great time
For what it’s worth, it’s been put forth
She seen the answers, it’s been her cancer
Goodbye my lovely blue sky

Goodbye...
Goodbye...
Goodbye my valentine

Tonight...
Tonight...
Tonight I finally said goodbye
