The Everlasting Skys

The Everlasting Skys

A Poem by Matthew
"

Can you run through the universe?

"
The everlasting moon, with the stars above, and the skies below
All just reflect the chill of the sun above, with the universe below
This world is going away too soon, with nothing to gain, not a thing to lose
Will we ever believe, shall we even conceive?  With not a thing to gain, everything to lose

The everlasting sun, with the moon below, and the skies up high
With this world ablaze, the sky is the only thing left in my gaze
Thoughts running through the maze, chasing that one everlasting moment
I pick out the sun, one with universe, one with the moment, the maze now cracks away

The everlasting universe, with the moon in the sky, and the sun way up high
This world burns for the times it could have, should have been one
Can help myself?  Or do I go off with my thoughts, end up one with life, one with time
She said she never had the time, never had the thought, can I even deny?

Buried me right next to the sun
Carry me right by the burden
I loved you
I really only loved you
