Mend The Web

Mend The Web

A Poem by Matthew
"

Short poem. Inspired by a song called "Spiders".

"
Stand me up with my ken
Dream of the life, til the end
Never ending webs, constantly mending the dead

Take me down here
To a land of rejects
Feeding on spider webs
Feeling better than ever

Open lives to the current
Strap the lines, let them burn it
Never ending spider webs, constantly burning, faking death

Spiders fall in line
To the greater divine
Don’t question yourself
You are always right
Lie to the spiders, let them earn it
Don’t be afraid when they burn it

Spiders continue to live the dreams of the forgotten
Spiders continue to lie to the masses they have gotten
Spiders continue to die in order to mend the web that they rot in
