Your Look

Your Look

A Poem by Beaner166

Looking at you now I'm taken back.
Seeing you every day.
Holding you in my arms.
Kissing your soft sweet lips.
Looking into those beautiful blue eyes.
I remember loosing myself in them for hours.
Your smile.
Brightening up even my darkest day.
The way you'd say I love you.
Making my heart jump every time.
Doing everything I could to be the man you deserved.
Until I made that fatal mistake.
Leaving you for fear of loosing you forever.
I let you go to protect you.
Only for another to catch the woman I love.
Looking at you know.
Looking at him the way you looked at me.
Spending your days with him.
Holding you the same way I did.
Kissing the lips that were mine.
Looking into the eyes I used to get lost in.
Now my love is happy.
But she's happy with another man.

Very tragic poem. I love that it was written straight from your heart...it always makes for a more interesting piece. Some people may not understand where you're coming from, but I do...I think you know that already though. One thing that I would fix is the flow...it seems way too stacato and the ideas are short and broken up. KNow what I mean?
