Eternal Demise

This is really a hellish one... It doesn't worship satan, only speaks about him, and I'm not a satanist... It is also one of the first songs I wrote for my thrash metal band...

Lifeless souls,
In endless wait,
For neverending cleansing of sin,
In the fires of hell!

Desperate screams,
Sending shivers down the spine,
Smell of burning flesh,
Maggots eating rotten eyes!

Eternal demise! 

Helpless corpses,
Bathing in boiling blood,
Their souls twisting in agony,
Praying and screaming for their Savior!

Scorched figures,
Floating in lava,
Showing the glory,
Of Devils power!

Skinless bodies,
Showered in acid rain,
Shouting and crying,
As they melt for eternity!

Eternal demise...

This entire poem takes the Inferno and condenses it into a mass of beauty. The simplicity of the souls of the damned is expressed with such profundity that it makes them feel real. Their pain and torment comes to life. The short lines and stanzas make it very apparent that their torture is staggered. It is as if each line is a piercing breath as they attempt to endure the pain they are forced to take in.

This is a very hellish but spectacularly-written poem. It's easy to understand, and engrains readers with a fear of hell and fire and Satan. I appreciate the diction and tone you utilized; it is simple to comprehend yet very full of thought.
