Love Lost (Epilogue)A Poem by RealyfeJust something fun, brought forth from sadness.I lost my heart in a game of chance, A game of luck, with a man named Romance; He was sent by Cupid, who labeled me lost, Though I was determined to win at any & all cost; The pressure, extreme, with stakes so high, As he stared with contempt, he squinted his left eye; My face was austere & holding strong, Though I felt my chances at winning were gone; I figured the cards as marked, yet I would not give up, Though he smiled at me, as his head he shook; Yeah, I lost that game, though it was not fair, But, about his cheating, I did not care; As I said before, my heart was the bet, But, believe you me, this battle ain’t over yet!
