Silent Tears

Silent Tears

A Poem by CrumbsInMyBed

Silent tears slide down my face
No one there to embrace
Alone in the darkness, I cry out
No one hears my screams and shouts
These silent tears cannot be heard
I try to speak but not a word
They flow without sound
I look but comfort cannot be found
No one around to dry my eyes
Nor to hear my silent cries
Here I am, left alone
To overcome on my own
Silent tears fall down my face
My broken heart so out of place
Back and forth my body sways
These silent cries drive the world away
Silent tears slide down my face
No one there to embrace

so much ache of your heart & the cliches of life you pour deep down in arched words. one of my fav. lines:

"I look but comfort cannot be found... "

nicely thought. brilliantly penn'd. & very cleverly adjusted with anthem. great work. metaphor's pain's vividly reflecting off the nearby shell of your heartfelt words. looking forward to reading you!

Whew! So sad and powerful. And, I believe we have all been there and can relate.
