"Desire"

"Desire"

A Poem by masqued_muse
"

Ok. This was a song I wrote years ago. It is still; after all these years, my heart.

"
I say,"Lord, I really love You,
        but, my heart cannot contain,
all the feelings that I have for You,
        the peace within Your Name.
For; Your love is so much greater,
while You bless my life with song.
You are my King, my God, and Savior,
all my praise to You belongs.
But, what do You see, Lord,
        when you look at me?
       A vessel of dishonor,
        or a messenger of peace?
       One who will have faith in You;
        til the bitter end?
I know that I'm Your child, Lord,
but I desire to be Your friend.
       I say,"Lord, I really love You,
        but, my heart cannot contain,
all the feelings that I have for You,
        the peace within Your Name.
For; Your love is so much greater,
while You bless my life with song.
You are my King, my God, and Savior,
all my praise to You belongs.

The purity of God's love is what stops one in his/her tracks. We humans must complicate things when all we have to do is accept. The acceptance leads on a path that is sure in that even when there are stones to cause stumbles, we KNOW He will catch us. He shines the light with a ray that gives only so much vision so that our Faith must remain in Him to take us further. It is the HUMAN in us that causes us to falter but he knew us before we knew ourselves and accepts US as us.
Your poem expresses the idea that it is difficult to accept such a LOVE.

That is what it is all about . . . Relationship. A lot of "religous" people will be lost, but each with a personal relationship with Him....All will be saved.
