"Engulfed"

"Engulfed"

A Poem by masqued_muse
"

Prose to describe the duality that stretches beyond the landscape of my soul.

"
Shadows tease the parameters of my senses,
   scratching,ever closer to the center.
I am not of pretty verse when comets whisper, ugliness of        sanctity atoned.
Tattered ashes
   peer through flame,sweet contrition
   to blur promise of
   saline colored  doom.
I too, am relentless   waterfall, in
   in my unrequited thirst
   for sacred temple.
I will spin as tethered yarn
   in the maw of arachnid
so adept at home in vertigo.
Clawing gently to reshape
   sound ascending
   gasping sunlight
   ingesting paranoia, my lover.

I claim Pisces,
liquid fire,  unfelt  gods yet to be born
for will o' wisp's  intent to pursue.
Thrashing steel, I release failed
    placenta,
    cursing  air, to swallow heat
    and I dive deep.
