A Mothers NoteA Poem by Aubrey HarrellThis is a poem of a lone mother who gave her son to some people to take care of him when times got rough. She just wanted the best for him. That is what she is describing.I am so sorry my baby. So please show no one I will see you again, maybe. This is not for fun. You were born on a special day. I am going to tell you In your father’s own dismay. Because you have to know. But none of that really matters. I love you my Baby, Your father’s remains are scattered. Take care of Him I want you to know he left us. Please. He left on a big, long bus. Love, Your Broken Mother Please don’t think I left you. I know you never knew the horror. Those people are very kind, But you have always stayed in my mind. I left you with them As hard times condemned me. I wanted the best for my baby In hopes I will see you again, maybe. I wrote this to you. To give you a view Of why this happened. And was fastened. © 2017 Aubrey HarrellAuthor's Note
