Misfortune

Misfortune

A Poem by Aubrey Harrell
"

This is about a person moving to a new city. They think it is going to be awful, but they soon change their mind.

"

Misfortune

New house

New friends

New School

New kin

Misfortune

Blank room

Boxes galore

Shadows loom

Whistling by

Misfortune

New smells

New taste

New sights to see

Is it a waste?

Misfortune?

People smile

“How do ye dos”

New friend named Kile

Plus parties on the weekend

Misfortune?

Really?

New games

New teacher

New rules

That new school

…….misfortune?

Bats swing

Dust flies

Home run!

Not misfortune.

Cheers and happy moments

Smiles and laughs

Quiet nights

Busy Days

Not even close to Misfortune!

How is it?
Is the main thought keeping in touch through the poem?
What should I change?
