How I Wish Morrissey Were Here Tonight

How I Wish Morrissey Were Here Tonight

A Poem by Tourist the Sleepwalker
"

From the same night written basically to the tune of 'The Hand That Rocks The Cradle'. Morrissey was my go to for depressing, lonely sleepless nights.

"

Oh Morrissey how I wish you were here

Sitting at the end of my the bed

Serenade me with your laments

About the beautiful girl who’s now sadly dead

Oh Morrissey feed me misery melancholy

Let’s go out and play dares tonight

Drink petrol and push each other in shopping trolleys

Pretend to be miserable, pretend not to care

(or be in love)

Oh Morrissey take me to the asylum

I can’t be this confused anymore

Belittle my struggles, laugh in the face of my torments

And say “oh what a saddening bore”

Oh Morrissey why do I feel like only you would know

It’s not about love or sex or anything in between

We’re not so miserable after all

Just too terrified to ever really dream our dreams

Morrissey, Morrissey

I have made a huge mistake

I thought I could love and not want to die

I was never fan of Morrisey music but I feel Smith was quiet important band. But I like how you captured spirit of Morrissey all.this univisble undertones of human emotions. This piece have something magical hidden in between each stanza.

It sounded like a sad song with soft lines to cherish and embrace. Welcome to this site.
