Until We Meet AgainA Poem by Stoic BerserkerThere was a night when I dropped my girl off at her house, and almost instantaneously missed her touch, kisses and smile. It was just too heavy in my heart not write about...
The distance lengthens,
And the goodbyes fade, Into the impressionistic, Echoes of the past. The starlight in her eyes reminded me, Of the joy we all leave behind, undoubtedly, When another second traverses the solemn sky, Off and out into the oblivion of the past to pry, At the cinematic scenes of our recollection. Forgotten jest, On a new found quest, We attempt to blaze a trail homeward, Through the cold, dark void of the night, Good evening and farewell, Until we meet again. ~ Me, myself and I © 2013 Stoic Berserker |
