Curious Muse Part II

Curious Muse Part II

A Poem by Stoic Berserker
"

Still Pondering...

"

II.

Admiration, subjugation, obliteration;

My soul fears for itself,

Because your beauty has stolen my gaze,

Stolen it sore, never to repay;

Blister my heart, torture me not,

So long as you’re oblivious,

To the torment you’ve wrought.

One more time before time runs out,

One more time before humanity shouts,

 Violent contempt of a curse fizzling off into oblivion,

At its end, and it won’t,

Defend your mortified visage.

Tomorrow is where your countenance resides,

Tomorrow is how we all learn,

To sigh,

But now exists, won’t you live it out?

Live it out?

Take the plunge,

Won’t you take the plunge?

I love finding writers that bring a dark side to the beautiful things we experience. It allows us to feel and see so much more than those who are strictly bright. I enjoy your style very much. Kudos on a well written piece.
Best,
Kara M.
