Guess what I am...A Poem by Rebecca ConwayRiddle- can you guess what the object is?My keys fit no lock, They will open no door, I make bodies dance to a thousand beats, But no move shall I ever make. I can be opened up to reveal my insides, But no blood shall flow from my wounds. A deft touch can make me purr, Clumsy extremities produce snarls of discontent. I’m a sturdy ox, An elephant in the room, An insatiable money grabber, An unpractical hollow box Whose song enchants. A familiar friend always there In childhood, in marriage, And in passing. © 2012 Rebecca ConwayReviews
