Nature is so ignored these days...

If I wait and listen

I’ll here it glisten

The rain as it falls

The rain as it calls

Splashing to the ground

Making barley a sound

The beautiful rain

Calling my name

Just feeling anew

Just as I do

If I wait and listen

I’ll here it glisten

The music nature makes

Nothing takes

Away the sound

But it can be drowned out

I really like this one :) up there on my list of fave one's I've read of yours. The last line I keep going back and forth on if it should be changed or not since it has that extra beat, but I think it works as a closing point, any where else in the poem and I'd advice to take it out but it fits for where it is. I love the idea that nature, and rain most of all, can be drowned out by something else if you don't listen, I thought that was an awesome analogy.

I love the sound of rain, It takes away the worries for a while. It's just relaxing, I really enjoyed the flow and poeticness of this. Amazing write!
