man's man attacking a garbage can

man's man attacking a garbage can

A Poem by Sean L Corbin
"

Liquor-store insanity

"

it’s blood red like her lying hair and you’re a bull
breathing white hot rage, a man’s man,
so teach her some respect while she’s not around,
instead huddled in the floor of the trailer
waiting for you to come home and charge –
take out your fury and impale that crimson can,
buck it into the parking lot, maybe against a stranger’s car
because the world cowers before you
and never blames an animal for following instinct,
so warm up on that trash can, warm up on some vodka,
then go home and show her just who’s in control,
go home and show your little boy how to be a man
and see if garbage in means garbage out
