rapunzel

rapunzel

A Poem by marie m gale

it was rapunzels finest hour

being released from her ivory tower

her long blonde hair

now short and black

a drug to her love

similar to crack

the witch you see

had imprisoned her

not in a cage

i must concur

but with walls abound

too hard to break

his iron chains

of hate he made

the witch indeed

a male you cry

this cant be true

did the fairytale lie

a grims a grim

i must reply

this is my story

the witch is a guy

the hero

she did come along

no white horses

or sword so strong

breaking down

the ivory tower

giving rapunzel

strength and power

to stand up to be strong again

to learn the broken still can mend
