Men

They come in different kinds

The nice ones, that is

What kind of guy are you

 

There is the happy man

Savors the moment

Lives life to the fullest

Leaves no strings attached

Has no regrets

Doesn’t look back

Every experience is an adventure

 

He usually has money

To finance his escapades

To fuel his exploits

Many adore him

Others love him

He has lots of options

And he rejects no one

 

Brought up to be spoilt

Sometimes he falters and says the wrong thing

Sometimes he takes everything for granted

Expecting the best

Waiting the smooth ride

Never taking no for an answer

 

Will you choose him

To share on his happiness

To be a part of his adventure

He knows that time is precious

And he doesn’t dare to wait

 

Then there is the gentleman

He speaks politely

He moves gracefully

He acts swiftly

He’s extremely strong

He’s conscious of other’s needs

He’s considerate of other’s troubles

He’s sensitive and caring

He pulls your chair for you

And opens your door

He holds your hand for you

And drops you at your doorstep

He showers you with attention

And fends off those who dare to disrespect you

He’s smart and neatly groomed

He smiles and speaks politely

He walks gracefully

He acts nobly

He’s the perfect gentleman

 

Will you choose him

To get lost in his attention

His generosity, his warmth

He’s patient

Very patient

 

Then there’s the responsible man

He’s older and wiser

You would look at him as a father figure

He’s cunning and intelligent

He advises you and you know he’s always right

He speaks honestly and takes no risks

He takes care of you

And tells you what is right

He protects you and keeps you safe

He takes no chances

And warns against the dangers

He’s no playful child and means what he says

He’s disappointed in you but has faith in you

He knows you can grow to be a better person

You strive to be like him

Always by his side

Because you know you’re safe there

For he will never let anything happen to you

 

Many come to him for advise

And many run to him for counsel

For he will comfort them and give them direction

He can see far ahead and know what to do next

He knows what not to do and will not take chances

 

He respects other’s feelings and listens to their opinion

He’s mature enough to do what’s right

He doesn’t spend late nights partying

Rather he saves his money for the future

 

He’s ready to settle down

He would never leave you

He would never abandon you

He’s the responsible man
