Nothing

Nothing

A Poem by Glee

You ask what I’m thinking

Nothing

You ask how I feel

Nothing

You ask what I want

Nothing

Emptiness is all I feel

As if something’s missing

When you touch me

I feel nothing

When you look at me

I feel nothing

When you talk to me

I hear nothing

Whatever happened to that irresistible charm!

That electric feeling you get when you’re captivated by someone special

That ecstatic impression you get when you’re swept by beauty

The chemistry of romance

The passion

The fire

The way you used to make me feel

The love we read about in storybooks

Whatever happened to all that!

We could laugh and play all day and nothing would happen

We could drink and talk all evening and nothing would happen

We could roll and cuddle all night and nothing would happen

You could strip and strut all day and it won't mean a thing

It’s almost as if we were brother and sister

Is it me?

Is there something wrong with me?

Am I normal?

Whatever happened to that ecstatic feeling that overwhelms you when you’re captivated by someone special!

Whatever happened to the passion!

The love

The romance

Almost as if something’s missing

Did I get it all wrong?

Where did I go all so wrong?
