Fell for a Man's words, would you?

i underestimated you..
you see most guyz that i`ve dated always wanted one thing,
sex
sex
and more sex.

i really never thought id meet a person who wanted more than just my body..
i would really love to take this chance and say that i am sorry

well let me be honest with you,
what i really want in a guy is love,
i always see these movies where the guy gets the girl(or man in my case)
and i wonder if there`s anyone out there for me,

i tend to be a bit sensitive towards people`s feelings and i dont like getting hurt.
i dream of the day i`ll get a man who loves and cares for me as much as i do him,
i dream of the day il have a guy who indulges me in the simple things like calling me from wherever and saying that he loves me,

a man who loves romance and i can cuddle with in the living room and watch a movie with,
a man i can take a walk with on the beach and see the sun set,
a man who has the courage to be with me in times of pain and joy...
wow i feel like am pouring my heart out to you,

smthing thats very hard to do.
i know it may seem that i am asking for alot in my man..
but all i really want is to be loved and love back,
to be accepted the way i am.
i really hope i didn`t crush my first chance at having a meaningful relationship.
as i write this im thinking of what you might be doing now,
are you dissapointed in me?

i ask you to pliz reconsider and,
im still open to meeting and hope you are to...

a beautiful work... it is very hard finding true love...someone who loves you and not your body... one of my best friends is facing this dilemma right now... and there's no escaping... even i as a friend have no idea of how to first tell her the grim reality of what the guy is doing is not correct... relationships aren't about bodies... it is all about the unison of souls... bodies are just a small part of the bigger plan...

i hope nobody ever falls in this trap...and i pray for the courage to help my friend out of this mess...

That is so sweet, really really sweet. two things, you need 'o' in something 1st line 6th stanza and 'please' 1st line last stanza. This is a really heart warming piece, a poetic checklist in realtime, especially the last stanza.

I really do count myself lucky for having all those things you wish for yourself. Its a really good poem, well done with this. you did spill out your feelings so it was raw and honest which makes for great material and you did it justice. i wish you luck on the journey for love...one day you will be on the right road.

Huh... quite the monologue. I'm loving the perspective of men on this. It's very stereotypical, yet provides an excellent message to men. Sex just isn't everything. :p

I personally find it amusing when I hinted that bit of sarcasm (no matter how depressed the tone was) when the speaker says "i know it may seem that i am asking for alot in my man../but all i really want is to be loved and love back,"... I've always wonder how hard that is. :/

Wow.. this is very admirable and free-flowing from the heart, mind and soul.. the only way to be in my eyes.. you should never be ashamed to feel this way.. from what I am reading you are proud of yourself and should be.. sex is not the world.. if you love the sex is great regardless.. it's part emotional, from the spirit so to speak! The highest realms of love and passion are in loving arms and I applaud you on your writing about it!!!! I feel and relate in every way on this writing.. keep it up.. going to favorites!!! =)
