Just a ManA Poem by Glee
Who would love me as I am? I splendor I hunger I wonder Who would take me as I am? For I was just a man A simple man An honest man A believer A hard worker For I was no superstar I was no superhero I was no superhuman I was just a man I was no stunning mistress I was no gorgeous duchess I was no high powered exec I was no wealthy tycoon For even if I had money I would never believe in it For even if I had millions I would never live by them I was just a man So I wondered Who would take me as I am Who would love me as I am Who would love me for me Who would come with me on this wondrous journey This long voyage called life Who else but him
He who calls me in the morning He who wants to be with me He who is not afraid to say he loves me He who says I’m beautiful Inside and out For true beauty lies on the inside How could I be worthy of his love For I was just a man A simple man An honest man A believer A hard worker For I was no superstar I was no superhero I was no superhuman I was just a man How could I be worthy of his love He loves me I know he loves me He’ll never leave me He loves me He wants me I know he wants me He’ll never leave me He wants me He trusts me I know he trusts me I could never hurt him He trusts me © 2009 GleeReviews
