Do not weep

Do not weep

A Poem by Glee

I used to have a good life

I had everything a man could ask for

A life of luxury

A loving family

And plenty of friends around me

But I made some bad decisions

After mounting debt

And constant worrying

I lost everything

I was helpless

I was broke

My family was in need

I asked my friends to assist me

They said I was a grown man

I should solve my problems like a real man

But all I needed was someone to talk to

I prayed that someone would come

But there was no one around me

I was alone

Dear friend

Do not visit me when am gone, visit me now

Do not weep for me when am gone, laugh with me now

Do not say you love me when am dead, love me now

Do not shower me with presents when am no more, give me the presents now

I was in need

I needed a helping hand

I asked for your support

But none came

All I needed was someone to talk to

Nobody called

Now am gone but I can still see

I watch my funeral from afar

People came from all corners to see me off

My family was showered with fine gifts and niceties

As friends I had not seen in ages came to say good bye

I heard them trade stories about the nice memories we shared together

I watched them comfort my family and trade sympathies

They promised they would be taken care of forever

This is the world we live in

Dear friend

Do not visit me when am no more, visit me now

Do not say you love me when am gone, love me now

Do not put flowers on my tomb stone, send me flowers now

Do not make arrangements for my funeral when am no more, make arrangements to fix my problems now
