Full Moon

Full Moon

A Poem by Glee

Howling in the woods

Loneliness in the dark creeps in

Peace and quiet sips through

The stars shining down brighten up inside

The radiant moon glows up within

It’s the full moon again

Can you see it?

But I am not afraid

I have fought my battles

Faced my demons

Scoured the wilderness

Tearing them apart

Ravaging them to pieces

Blood hounds trying to take what is mine

Wolf hounds trying to steal what’s thine

Taught them a lesson

For they shall never try

Once the big bad wolf

Now the lonely quiet wolf

Licking his wounds

Grooming his furriness

For it is the full moon again

But can you see it?

The man on the moon is calling

He’s not gloomy

He’s smiling brightly

But you have to look deeper to see it

And this full moon is going to be special

Not like other full moons

A special rose for a special someone

Saved up for that special someone

Made it through the battles

Fought it through the storms

Passed the test of time

Wrapped delicately in linen cloth

This full moon is going to be special

Not like other full moons

Lay down your samurai sword

Bow down your sorrowful hat

Wear your charming coat

Romance is in the air

The full moon is here

Can you see it?

Shining brightly

Glowing inside

Brightening up inside

Can you see it?
