InstinctsA Poem by GleeLife is full of decisions Think, reason, process Decisions, decisions, decisions Sometimes we must make snap decisions No time to think No time to reason No time to process Too many variables to consciously consider One bad decision you could regret for a lifetime But how could you have known
Follow your instincts, instincts, instincts Decisions can be wrong but instincts can never go wrong A product of your subconscious mind Brush them off, shove them aside You will live to regret But how could I have known
Shall we do this, or shall we do that Shall we try this or shall we try that One mistake could cause us regret for a lifetime And so we must consult Call all your contacts Process the facts Listen to this, listen to that Follow my advice or follow his advice Look with your eyes first before other people’s words
The sum total of your experiences rounds it all up Our minds are working even when we are sleeping Predict the unknown It happened yesterday, it must happen again Make a decision But how did you know You followed your instincts
Instincts can be wrong Listen to my advice I told you so Well, at least it was my decision Everyone’s situation is different I trust my instincts
But how could you have known Gut feeling told me so Follow your heart You feel guilty You feel skeptical What if you were wrong You know you’re lazy
Cover all your bases It wouldn’t hurt to uncover the stone What if you were wrong It’s OK to be wrong How did you know A little bird told you A little voice sung You followed your instincts
You will always know You made a decision It was a bad one But at least it was your own choice Never question your instincts © 2013 Glee |
