Midnight RainA Poem by Rosalyn Marierain can be seen by some people as dreary but can be seen as hope to others... inspired by the pouring rain outside...The rain beats against my window, Leaving long streaks in the grime. A year’s worth of dirt and filth, Of lies and bad decisions, Is slowly washed away by the pelting drops. The Casting silver beams into the room. A year’s worth of darkness and depression, Of hatred and disease, Is brightened by the long, slender, rays of light. The rain and the moon thrill me, Bringing a sparkle into my eyes. A year’s worth of drugs and alcohol, Of lies and depression, Is cleansed from my soul; as the year starts anew. © 2010 Rosalyn MarieAuthor's Note
