![]() Midnight RainA Poem by Rosalyn Marie![]() rain can be seen by some people as dreary but can be seen as hope to others... inspired by the pouring rain outside...![]() The rain beats against my window, Leaving long streaks in the grime. A year’s worth of dirt and filth, Of lies and bad decisions, Is slowly washed away by the pelting drops. The Casting silver beams into the room. A year’s worth of darkness and depression, Of hatred and disease, Is brightened by the long, slender, rays of light. The rain and the moon thrill me, Bringing a sparkle into my eyes. A year’s worth of drugs and alcohol, Of lies and depression, Is cleansed from my soul; as the year starts anew. © 2010 Rosalyn MarieAuthor's Note
