A Summer's Eve

A Summer's Eve

A Poem by Rosalyn Marie

Another assignment from last year. This was when we were learning about rhyming...

A Summer’s Eve

The sun shines brightly upon the ground,

While the Earth spins ‘round and ‘round.

I look up and smile at the sky,

As I watch the clouds go by.

A bird flies by on scarlet wings,

Then lands on a limb and starts to sing.

Dandelion puffs float along the breeze,

They land on my nose and I giggle then sneeze.

But it now grows dark and I must leave,

Back to my home on this warm summer’s eve.

Again, you did good with using the rhyme scheme to help the poem flow. The way you used simple language to depict something you thought was magical was really good. Well written, and I like your style.
