Autumn RainsA Poem by Rosalyn MarieJust a poem about the rain in autumn (hence the title). It's another english assignment from last year. And the air is warm and moist It smells sweetly of rain, Damp and heavy on my shoulders It tastes as if someone is taking a shower, And the steam is escaping from the bathroom Tiny rain drops fall down, small and round like peas The clouds are singing, Each rain drop a note, and the pitter-patter of them hitting the sidewalk is a word The clouds’ song is sweet, a lullaby, soothing you to sleep. © 2010 Rosalyn MarieAuthor's Note
