Autumn Rains

Autumn Rains

A Poem by Rosalyn Marie
"

Just a poem about the rain in autumn (hence the title). It's another english assignment from last year.

"

The trees are pillows of yellow and green,

And the air is warm and moist

It smells sweetly of rain,

Damp and heavy on my shoulders

It tastes as if someone is taking a shower,

And the steam is escaping from the bathroom

 It begins to drizzle,

Tiny rain drops fall down, small and round like peas

The clouds are singing,

Each rain drop a note, and the pitter-patter of them hitting the sidewalk is a word

The clouds’ song is sweet, a lullaby, soothing you to sleep.

This is a wonderful poem. I feel the same way about a soft spring rain. Great job!
