10111. In ancient lands where passion's fire burned bright.A Chapter by Ray NicholsAn ode to Anthony and Cleopatra. In ancient lands where passion's fire burned bright, Two souls entwined, their fates in shadows cast, Anthony, a warrior bold in fight, Cleopatra, queen, her beauty unsurpassed. With whispers soft, she lured him to her side, In Egypt's sands, their love ignited flame, Yet fortune's wheel would turn, and pride divide, As empires clashed, they bore a tragic name. In battles fierce, ambition's cost was steep, Betrayed by fate, their dreams fell to despair, Together bound, in death they chose to sleep, A love immortal, echoing through air. Thus, in the annals of time’s endless scroll, Lives on the tale of love that claimed their soul.
