10010. A Snow White SonnetA Chapter by Ray NicholsA narrative poem based on the fairy tale of Snow WhiteIn woods where sunlight weaves through whispering leaves, A maiden fair, with skin as white as snow, In innocence, she dances, sweet reprieves, Her laughter like a brook, a gentle flow. But lo! The mirror speaks with venomous truth, A queen, once young, now twisted by her pride, With envy burning deep, she seeks the youth, To vanquish beauty, let her wrath abide. Yet fate, it seems, has woven threads of chance, For in the shadows, seven hearts do dwell, They guard the fairest, caught in fate's cruel dance, With love's pure light, they weave a potent spell. So let this tale of darkness turn to light, As love prevails, and wrongs are made all right.
