1001. In the rhythm of a heartbeat

1001. In the rhythm of a heartbeat

A Chapter by Ray Nichols
"

A Poem About Love

"
In the rhythm of a heartbeat,
where whispers dance like shadows,
love unfolds,
a sultry melody,
soft as silk against bare skin,
each note a caress,
each pause a promise.
Underneath the neon glow,
we sway,
lost in the electric pulse,
the world fades,
and it’s just you and me,
in this moment,
where time is a lover,
holding us close,
wrapped in the warmth of our embrace.
Your laughter, a sweet refrain,
echoing through the night,
a siren song,
drawing me deeper,
into the ocean of your eyes,
where stars collide,
and constellations ignite,
creating maps of our dreams.
Let’s dance,
like nobody’s watching,
let’s spin the world on our fingertips,
with every twirl,
every step,
a testament to the fire we’ve ignited,
a passion that transcends the mundane,
a force that defies gravity,
lifting us higher.
In the quiet spaces,
between breaths,
there’s a symphony,
a heartbeat shared,
a language only we know,
where silence speaks volumes,
and love is the sound
that resonates through our souls.
So let’s write our story,
on the canvas of the night,
painted with laughter,
brushed with tears,
each stroke a chapter,
each color a feeling,
an opus of our existence,
an anthem of our hearts.
And when the morning light breaks,
when the world stirs awake,
we’ll hold tight to this moment,
this love that knows no bounds,
this song that plays on repeat,
a timeless echo,
a celebration of us,

sensual, powerful,
and undeniably,
beautifully,
alive.
