Today I told him the heartbreaking truth of my new lie,

He asked me why I didn’t tell him,

I told him about if I did I would die,

He took it as a joke and to me I saw our love dim.

 

The next day you saw the devil inside of me that you fear,

I wanted to explain to you that this will change a ton,

That’s when I saw what I fear your actual tear,

I knew from then on that the devil I hid had won.

 

I knew then I was running away,

I wanted to show you the love is here,

I knew that today was the day,

And this was my very last year.
