Pandora's BoxA Poem by EboniA poem about n innocent girl with lots of curiosity whose world turned into darkness and pain. Her eyes were bright, Her heart was kind I cherished the joy she'd bring So imaginative and curious, she had a remarkable thing I left her side, I warned her twice before things got to bad She didn't care, She'd changed so much, now she was always sad Now I didn't know until I sat to think about what dear Abigail did It turns out she found the box where all the darkness was in It held so much power and once opened it wouldn't go away It trapped her in another land, All i could do was pray I would've be surprised if the devil himself took over this child All her happiness was turned into fear, and it drove me wild I went insane to see her this way, how deceitful was she She lied and cursed, and her heart was on fire like the core of the earth Depressed was she and on one knee I begged her please don't do it She grabbed the knife and tried to end her life, but for some reason she just couldn't I believe it was the old her trying to come out, fighting this mental disease She held the key, knowledge, that unlocked the box, she thought it would give her what she'd need Now this "gift" that she acquired, wasn't at all what it was thought to be It changed her so much it gave her a different personality Next time, when you find the box be careful what you do Or sooner or later, just like it will do to her, Curiosity will kill you
