I hate that people have such a negative view on something that isn't even the word they give it. Love, is an amazing, uplifting, complicated, web of compassion and respect and beauty. You, by having read this, obviously haven't even glimpsed that. Give up with the petty immature 'stuff' you have going on here, and look for respect and comfort before you go and write off love.
Love isn't always the happy family with the lovely dog and the repetitive vacancies. Some people don't like to see its destructive potential and make you feel like you don't know anything about love; well, the opposite could be said to them: you don't know love if you haven't felt the pain. It is not really what I think, but if one cannot conceive love as potentially painful, then one does not know love, or one is that rare happy bunny who's been blessed by destiny.
Oh, I don't need to look at the reviews below to know you are going to get innundated with advice on love, grieving, sympathetic approaches and all sorts of nice comments, because you had a bad time with a guy. But you posted this as a poem. So as a poem, rather than therapy, how does it stand up?
Brilliantly.
From the word go you slip the hook in and keep people reading until the end. Your language is perfectly matched to the pain you describe and with such pace and ferocity thatby the end the readers adrenelin is racing and most will want to go round and belt the guy. Your imagry is faultless. So, even feeling as you do, you have proven yourself to be a poet of exceptional skill and depth. I knew there was a reason I liked reading your work. It's because it's so damn good
I know it hurts :'( but the pain temporarily does heal, for a while, not properly too :'( it really hurts me to see someone go through the s**t i did. I felt like taking pills for the easy way out, when i knew myself it was pathetic of me to do it :'( Oh my god, the pain burns brighter than the sun and u feel like ripping his head of and taking back ur heart from under his feet :'(
Beth :3
Aw, such pain can break ones own loving and loyal heart... *sighs*
Yah, it's true that love makes everyone happy but sometimes, when given too much without limitations, it could lead to sorrow, grief or whatever negative feelings!
Your poem expresses sadness in a unique way...
I hope you'll feel better soon...
:)))
I truly understand...you feel like this once/twice many times in a lifetime...I can relate to it well...but you can gradually get over it...and one bit of word from my side-love happens only once (at least I feel so)...and then its lovely...but yes sad, when you realize it too late...however coming back...lovely write..written with pain at the spur of the moment...but also pain gives birth to the strongest of emotions, isn't it?
sorry, i just had a recent thing with a guy, and it left me utterly confused, angry, and lonly. you have my dearest apologies, hopefully things will turn and i will write happy agian. c:
