Love For a Lifetime

Love For a Lifetime

A Poem by rawland
"

There are no guarantees to love, because if there were, you wouldn't be so careful not to break it.

"
Love for a lifetime

Is all we really need

But where do we begin?

And is it guaranteed?

I guess you begin by looking

Deep inside your own heart

To see if you love your life"

That’s the best place to start;

There’s no way

You’re not worth loving"

God made sure of that

For all"

Love creates

Man hesitates

We stumble, trip, and fall...

But you get up"

Don’t fall again"

At least not so much

Till you fall

One last time"

Tripped up

By a touch...

A touch

Of another’s heart

With fingertip control...

Your lives entwine

Somehow, combine"

You’re no longer half

But Whole.

(A touch Of another’s heart With fingertip control...Your lives entwine Somehow, combine" You’re no longer half But Whole.) This final stanza is the perfect closure for a very well written, romantic poem! Bravo Rawland. ~Miss Sharon
