Murder and suicide are the same thing but different targets.

Murder one other is a crime
Murder one self is a way out of life
Murder kills anothers heart
Murder heals what once was lost
Murder is a way to forget
Murder is a tragic event

Doctor Why nicely rounded up my thoughts about this poem, and I will add that short-sweet pieces such as this embody more than a simple meaning. A myriad of emotions and feelings burst from either heart or mind, depending on how you perceive the piece, really. A great read and a nice refresher.

To roy mccarthy: I know how depressing this poemsounds but it is not my own personal feelings on my desire to commit suicide but how suicide is like murdering. I am against the idea.

Every line is true. The poem is short, but I believe it holds within it the intensity and greatness of a poem doubled its length. Great job, and keep up the good work.
