Down the Rabbit Hole
Down and down, we go.. Hell fires brimming molten forgetfulness “Who dares enter here?” Forbidden Grounds, where fear dominates Hell’s Gates... Knock three times and toss Cerberus a bone of contention. An old story.. Purgatory. Mind numb we wander through car lots looking for escape, shopping malls to clothe our naked shame, food courts to stuff our hunger, surfing channels of cyber realms to ease eternal loneliness.. unto death do we cycle again and again searching for heaven and the virgins promised.... by the fat caterpillar who has never sprouted his own wings anyway. Each solar return spurns new anger promises... lies and deception the pills we swallow to change our perception pharmaceutic mesmerization. Docile and meek, we’ve waited forever, to inherit the earth. An irrevocable act the final temptation of revenge. Goddess was burned on the cross spurned and humiliated we hated what she showed us of our own weakness. Mad hatters play perceptions with marketable skill stocks rise and fall as the Red Queen remarks to her aside, “let the cards fall where they may”... “Show me your hand, and I will tell your fortune... Ghost face smiles cat-like from the future.. promising nine more lives... maybe.” There is no escape from here, down and down we go, unwinding star-dust DNA all the way back to Eden. © 2011 ravincauseReviews
