Standing Stones

Standing Stones

A Poem by ravincause

Winds of innocence blow
The tremor of drumbeat from the deep
Of the forest below.
Awakened from sleep
I creep
Down the hill,
Keeping still
The tone in my hearing
Apprehension when nearing
The source of the sound.
I sneak around
In shadows between ancient trees
Thick enough to squeeze
Between the worlds.
Colour swirls
In indigo's reign
On moss marked lane
Old bones
Standing stones
On distant shore
Of time before.
Stone circles accord
Hidden forest ward
Drumming them awake
I take
A step towards the dance
Deep in mystery trance
Where you fade into mist
I never even kissed
You, before you were gone.
I missed,
Again.
And the rain
Begins to pour
And the door
Between worlds shuts tight
For another night
And I am left alone
With no way home.

I am a dreamer dreaming life wonders to create dancing to the melodies the heavens orchestrate. Well, I just am. Present. Now. Am. I enjoy life this way. It's a fun place to be, living here on .. more..
