Broken Wings

Broken Wings

A Poem by Ravenwing
"

Wrote this a few years ago. I like it. It was for class; we had to write a concrete poem.

"

Mother’s anxiety.

                 flap

        fl-ap

Fl-ap

                      Plop!

Dad’s disappointment.

                              flap-flap

              flap-flap

Flap-flap

                                            Plop!

Daughter’s failure.

                       Fl-A-P

       flap-flap

Flap

                                  Plop!

Breath lost

Weights heavy

Tears everywhere

Why can’t I fly?

Plop!

     plop!

           plop!

Neat poem. I guess when we're broken we have to find the wind the will carry us until we mend.
It doesn't help when the rest of the family is broken and weighing you down. By 'you' I mean the subject. :)
Good poem.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it! And indeed, about the wind! :)
